About Andson Biotech
Andson Biotech is an Atlanta-based biotech startup developing DynaChip X1, a platform for rapid sample preparation and buffer exchange in mass spectrometry workflows. Our technology enables researchers to study proteins and biotherapeutics more efficiently, helping accelerate advances in life sciences and drug development.
About the Role
We are seeking a Front-End Development Intern to contribute to the development and enhancement of the user interface for DynaChip X1. This position will primarily involve translating Figma designs and product specifications into a refined, responsive, and maintainable user interface for customers, field engineers, and internal teams. The interface will encompass live status monitoring, data visualization, workflow automation, and control of hardware subsystems.
Beyond front-end development, interns will gain valuable exposure to hardware systems, product testing, manufacturing processes, and daily engineering operations.
Responsibilities
- Implement and refine user interfaces based on Figma designs utilizing contemporary web technologies.
- Enhance the usability, responsiveness, and overall user experience of the DynaChip X1 platform.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to convert product requirements into functional software features.
- Conduct testing for new functionalities, identify defects, and support troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Develop and maintain user-facing documentation and resources for troubleshooting.
- Provide assistance with the assembly, testing, and production of DynaChip X1 systems as required.
Qualifications
Required
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience in building user interfaces with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems and Git version control.
- Familiarity with front-end profiling tools.
Preferred
- Prior experience with React and TypeScript.
- Experience translating Figma designs into functional interfaces.
- Experience developing responsive user interfaces using frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
- Familiarity with APIs, WebSockets, or real-time application development.
- Exposure to Python and/or C++ for backend or embedded projects.
- Experience with database systems.
- A keen interest in hardware systems and hands-on engineering tasks.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi computers.
Additional Details
- Location: Atlanta, GA (on-site; hybrid arrangements may be considered based on academic schedules).
- Work Hours: 20–25 hours per week.
- Internship Duration: August 17, 2026, to December 18, 2026.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
