Head, Intelligence

Job Purpose

The Head, Intelligence is tasked with leading intelligence gathering, analysis, and reporting for Dangote Cement's operations across Nigeria and the Pan-African region. This role is crucial for the proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of security threats, thereby safeguarding the company's assets, operations, and reputation. The position fosters collaboration with internal teams, including plant operations and Social Performance, as well as external partners like government security agencies, to acquire actionable intelligence and facilitate informed decision-making at senior security leadership levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the collection, analysis, and distribution of security intelligence throughout all Dangote Cement locations.
• Furnish daily operational security intelligence reports and updates to the Group Head, Security.
• Identify, evaluate, and monitor security threats and risks impacting Dangote Cement's operations in Nigeria and across Africa.
• Formulate and implement intelligence-driven security strategies to reduce identified risks and bolster operational resilience.
• Engage with Plant Security Heads, business unit leaders, and Social Performance teams to synchronize intelligence activities with operational objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with government security agencies, including police, military, customs, and intelligence services.
• Orchestrate intelligence-sharing efforts with pertinent stakeholders to enhance situational awareness and response effectiveness.
• Conduct pre-execution threat assessments for plant sites, critical movements, and strategic operations.
• Analyze data from diverse sources to generate actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Track geopolitical, social, and security developments that could affect Dangote Cement's operations.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports, briefings, and presentations to senior management.
• Ensure the efficient deployment and ongoing enhancement of security intelligence systems and methodologies.

Education & Experience

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Security Studies, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
• A Master's degree in a relevant discipline is considered an advantage.
• Holding professional security certifications such as CPP, PSP, PCI, CPO, CSS, or APP is beneficial.
• A background in military or paramilitary service is desirable.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a security role within a government security agency.
• Demonstrated experience in collaborating with senior stakeholders and security partners.
