Job overview
U Value Insulation Group is hiring a full-time rigid HGV driver who has Moffett experience. This position is central to the smooth daily operation of the business, with a strong focus on making sure customer deliveries arrive promptly, reliably, and in a professional manner.
The role will be based at the company’s new Dunshaughlin head office and office/warehouse in County Meath.
Responsibilities
- Operate the HGV on scheduled, pre-arranged delivery routes.
- Carry out regular vehicle inspections to confirm the truck is safe and roadworthy.
- Drive and handle the vehicle responsibly, courteously, and in compliance with laws, health and safety rules, and company procedures.
- Report any vehicle faults or defects to the line or branch manager without delay.
- Complete tachograph records and other required documents accurately and on time.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
- Make sure all orders are loaded correctly, following safety procedures and the correct paperwork requirements so deliveries can be tracked properly.
- Check that delivery notes are signed correctly in line with company policy.
- Stay alert to the risk of loss or theft of company goods and property at all times.
- Take on additional duties when needed, as directed by the company.
Requirements
- A valid C2 licence is required.
- Rigid vehicle experience is helpful, although training may be offered.
- A Driver Qualification Card (DQC) is necessary.
- A positive, proactive attitude is essential.
- Must be willing to assist branch colleagues with warehouse, yard, or other tasks when required.
- Experience with multi-drop or multi-site deliveries is preferred.
- Familiarity with the company’s product range is an advantage.
