Housekeeper

Role overview

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to support a safe, clean and welcoming environment for people receiving care. This position is based at Cygnet Acer Clinic in Chesterfield and involves 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

Cygnet Acer Clinic is a 28-bed service that offers assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for women living with personality disorder and complex needs, as well as those experiencing acute mental health needs. The care environment is therapeutic and includes a level of security matched to each person’s needs. The wider goal of the service is to help people move toward lower-security settings or successful living in the community.

What the role involves

• Keeping the site to a consistently high standard of cleanliness.
• Following daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Restocking supplies and ensuring equipment remains clean and well cared for.
• Working safely and following health and safety requirements.
• Adhering to COSHH rules and safe handling practices.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work is preferred.
• Awareness of COSHH is an advantage.
• A friendly, careful and positive approach to work.
• Good communication skills.
