Houseperson

Role Overview

This part-time, on-site houseperson position is based in a hotel environment and supports the upkeep of public spaces to meet brand and property cleanliness expectations. The role requires flexibility to cover weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.

Key Duties

• Maintain clean, orderly, and well-presented hotel public areas in line with established standards.
• Respond to guest concerns in a professional manner and work toward guest satisfaction.
• Follow housekeeping, safety, and security procedures at all times.
• Clean and service assigned public areas according to franchise and hotel requirements.
• Return the housekeeping cart, replenish supplies, and prepare for the next shift at the end of duty.
• Carry out scheduled deep-cleaning and seasonal cleaning tasks.
• Report maintenance issues promptly and assist with guest requests or complaints as needed.
• Protect the privacy and security of guest rooms and related areas.
• Perform other assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications

A minimum of one year of cleaning experience is required, and prior hotel experience is preferred. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with guests, supervisors, and colleagues. A solid understanding of safe chemical handling is also needed. English/Spanish bilingual ability is an added advantage.

Work Schedule and Location

Work is performed in person. The schedule is flexible and may include weekends, holidays, and different shift patterns.
