About the role

We are assisting a client in hiring an HR Coordinator to support day-to-day people operations for a distributed, rapidly expanding team. This position is a strong starting point for someone early in their career who wants hands-on exposure to onboarding, benefits, compliance, and culture-related work.

You will work closely with the People team and senior leadership to help ensure the employee experience is smooth, organized, and responsive. The role is open to recent graduates, candidates with internship experience, and career changers who bring strong communication abilities and a service-oriented approach.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $50,000 to $70,000, based on experience.

What you'll do

  • Assist with the full onboarding and offboarding process, from offer acceptance through the employee’s final day
  • Keep employee files, records, and HRIS information accurate and up to date
  • Coordinate benefits enrollment and support open enrollment activities
  • Lead new hire orientation and respond to first-day employee questions
  • Help organize team events, offsites, and employee recognition initiatives
  • Support adherence to employment laws and compliance requirements
  • Work with payroll to help ensure accuracy and timely processing
  • Handle employee inquiries, resolving them directly when possible and escalating when needed
