Role overview
We are hiring for an organized, detail-focused Human Resources Assistant to support a developing organization that values professionalism, inclusion, and employee well-being. In this position, you will help keep HR operations running smoothly by providing administrative and operational support across recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, records, compliance, and internal communications. Key responsibilities
You will assist the HR team with daily activities and help ensure processes are completed efficiently and in line with company policies and employment rules.
- Support hiring efforts by publishing job ads, reviewing applications, and arranging interviews.
- Coordinate interview schedules and keep candidates informed during the recruitment process.
- Draft offer letters, employment agreements, and onboarding paperwork.
- Update and manage recruitment files and applicant tracking records.
- Organize onboarding and orientation for new hires.
- Set up employee files and confirm that all required documents are completed and stored properly.
- Respond to employee questions and general HR requests.
- Keep employee databases, records, and filing systems accurate and up to date.
- Help maintain compliance with company policies and legal recordkeeping requirements.
- Assist with HR procedures, policy administration, and workplace guidelines.
- Prepare HR reports, metrics, and supporting documentation.
- Support employee engagement activities, training initiatives, and company events.
- Help coordinate performance review processes and employee development activities.
- Share internal HR announcements and program updates across the organization.
- Manage HR correspondence, calendars, and meeting arrangements.
- Create reports, presentations, and other HR documents as needed.
- Maintain confidential personnel records and provide administrative support to HR leadership.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has a strong administrative background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with discretion in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong planning, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfort using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.
