Role overview
WSP is seeking an Information Manager to join its collaborative, sustainability-focused information management function in Cardiff. This team supports a broad portfolio of projects and acts as a centre of excellence within the Earth & Environment discipline, offering project and information management support throughout the full delivery lifecycle.
The position suits someone who enjoys working with multidisciplinary teams on complex infrastructure and environmental work. You will help maintain consistent information management standards, improve project information flow, and support quality and governance across major UK programmes.
The work covers high-profile schemes in sectors such as energy, transport, defence, and the built environment.
Key duties
- Support information management activities in accordance with ISO 19650 requirements.
- Help maintain and use the Common Data Environment effectively.
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of BEP, MIDP, and TIDP documents.
- Support the coordination of information exchange needs across project teams and stakeholders.
- Work with BIM Managers and Digital Leads to implement project information standards and procedures.
- Adopt a security-aware approach to data, including access control and governance.
- Guide project teams on information management tools, systems, and processes.
- Contribute to quality assurance checks to confirm compliance with agreed standards.
- Review, control, and distribute project information such as drawings and models using ISO naming conventions.
What the role calls for
The ideal candidate will have experience in BIM settings and in supporting project information management work. Strong communication skills are important, along with a team-oriented mindset and the willingness to learn, adapt, and help solve problems.
A relevant degree is preferred, such as in environment, project management, engineering, science, building, or quantity surveying. Equivalent experience and qualifications are also acceptable. Experience in a project or PMO environment, ideally across multiple disciplines, will be useful, as will practical knowledge of Common Data Environments and an understanding of ISO 19650 and information management principles.
Working environment and development
WSP offers a hybrid-style working policy that allows two days per week from home, alongside collaboration in modern offices across the UK. The organisation also supports flexible and part-time working arrangements, the option to buy extra leave, and the ability to use bank holiday entitlement more flexibly.

The company also provides the “WSP My Hour,” which lets employees take one hour each day for personal commitments and make up the time earlier or later the same day.
Development is encouraged through training, mentoring, and Chartership support.
