Role Overview

This position is for an inside sales professional supporting STR in Australia. The role is based in office from Monday to Friday and involves managing hotel and industry client relationships across the region. You will own the full sales journey, using a consultative and self-driven approach to sell, onboard, train, and retain customers on STR’s benchmarking and analytics solutions. You will work closely with a high-performing team to strengthen STR’s market position while providing excellent service and long-term client value.

What You Will Do

  • Research prospects proactively and reach out to potential customers to create new subscription opportunities with hotel owners and operators.
  • Present the value of STR’s solutions in a way that is relevant to each customer.
  • Handle the complete sales process, including prospecting, virtual product demos, negotiation, closing, and renewals.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships to increase product usage, subscription value, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Keep CRM records accurate and up to date for all activities and customer details.
  • Deliver product demonstrations to help new and existing clients understand and adopt STR’s tools.
  • Work toward or exceed sales and activity goals.
  • Support clients from the Adelaide, Sydney, or Melbourne office; no travel is required.

Qualifications

  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong relationship-building ability and the confidence to build credibility quickly in remote conversations.
  • Comfort with KPI-driven performance targets in a structured sales environment, including frequent phone and virtual outreach.
  • Ability to create trust and rapport over phone or email.
  • Good at qualifying leads, asking discovery questions, and identifying customer needs in a fast-moving, metrics-based setting.

  • Experience making a high volume of outbound calls, including cold calling and follow-ups.
  • Background in B2B sales, data, analytics, SaaS, or online platforms.

  • Experience in lead qualification, discovery questioning, and needs analysis.
  • Additional language skills relevant to target markets, such as Southeast Asian languages, are a plus.
