Role Overview

This position is for a Junior Data Scientist to contribute to a growing analytics function that delivers data-led improvements to business performance using current technologies. You will partner with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders on reporting, forecasting, automation, and advanced analytics across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret large datasets to help guide business decisions
• Build and support automated processes using Python and SQL
• Design dashboards, reports, and data visualisations with BI and analytics platforms
• Assist with forecasting, segmentation, and predictive analytics work
• Help develop scalable solutions for reporting and data handling
• Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn business needs into data products
• Support upkeep and refinement of data models and pipelines
• Investigate new tools and AI-based methods that can improve efficiency
• Take part in team meetings, workshops, and ongoing learning activities

Requirements

• Hands-on experience using Python for analysis, scripting, or automation tasks
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and relational database querying
• Exposure to BI tools or data visualisation software
• Awareness of cloud analytics platforms or modern data ecosystems is advantageous
• Genuine interest in AI-driven workflows, automation, or practical data science use cases
• Strong analytical reasoning and structured problem-solving skills
• Clear communication skills with the ability to present insights simply
