Role summary
This contract opportunity is for a remote Law Clerk supporting a client’s commercial real estate and energy legal work. The position is available to candidates working from anywhere in the United States and pays $40 to $55 per hour.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, draft, and review documents related to commercial real estate and energy matters, including contracts, lease agreements, and transaction paperwork.
- Carry out legal research on commercial real estate and energy law, with attention to regulatory obligations and transaction due diligence.
- Help organize and manage transaction files so documents remain accurate and aligned with legal requirements.
- Work alongside legal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to keep transactions moving efficiently.
- Keep legal records and correspondence well organized for both current matters and future reference.
What we’re looking for
- A Juris Doctor degree, or current enrollment in an accredited law school with at least two years completed.
- Previous experience in a law clerk, legal assistant, or similar position, ideally in commercial real estate or energy.
- Strong document drafting and review ability, especially for contracts and lease-related materials.
- Comfort using legal research platforms such as Westlaw, LexisNexis, or comparable databases.
- Strong organization, close attention to detail, and the ability to track compliance carefully.
