Role Overview

Japture is looking for a Lead Recruiter to own the hiring process from start to finish. This role is responsible for finding, engaging, and selecting strong candidates across academic, product, operations, and technical functions. The position is based in Patna and follows a hybrid work model, combining on-site presence with some work-from-home flexibility.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, beginning with role clarification and job scoping and extending through sourcing, screening, interviews, and final selection.
• Develop and maintain active talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
• Create and publish job advertisements across relevant platforms.
• Work closely with hiring managers to sharpen role requirements and align on hiring priorities.
• Support a smooth and positive candidate journey throughout the process.
• Plan and execute recruitment approaches that improve hiring outcomes.
• Track hiring data and key metrics to evaluate funnel performance, time-to-hire, and quality-of-hire.
• Build and sustain relationships with external partners such as institutes and job portals.
• Contribute to employer branding efforts that support Japture’s mission and positioning.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience handling end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination, and related hiring activities.
• Strong capability in working with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs and plan hiring accordingly.
• Comfort using ATS platforms, job boards, professional networking tools, and recruitment databases.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create recruitment plans, pipeline strategies, and employer branding initiatives, especially in education, EdTech, or technology-led environments.
• Analytical approach with experience reviewing recruitment reports and metrics to suggest process improvements.
• Ability to manage multiple openings in a fast-moving, growth-focused setting while staying detail-oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline; additional talent acquisition or HR certifications are considered an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead recruiter position, including mentoring recruiters or coordinating a small hiring team, is preferred.
