What the role involves

As part of the Responsive Maintenance team, you will help look after CHL properties in the region through practical maintenance work. The position includes general repairs, routine upkeep, gardening tasks, and cleaning duties. You will work closely with the maintenance team to support a safe and welcoming environment for residents.

What you’ll do

• Carry out day-to-day property maintenance and repair tasks.
• Assist with hands-on gardening and grounds upkeep.
• Complete cleaning and general handyman work as required.
• Use tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Work cooperatively with colleagues and maintain positive working relationships.
• Follow workplace health and safety practices in all tasks.

What you need

The ideal candidate will bring trade or maintenance experience and be comfortable working across residential maintenance, commercial cleaning, grounds maintenance, or similar hands-on work. Strong communication skills, a practical approach, and the ability to work flexibly within a varied team are important. A current driver’s licence is required, and a White Card is needed or must be obtainable.

Compliance and checks

A satisfactory police check is required for all staff. Where the role involves client-related responsibilities, an NDIS check and a Working with Children Check are also required.
