Role Overview

Lupin is hiring a Manager - Finance for its Mumbai office. This is a full-time, on-site role suited to an experienced Chartered Accountant with deep exposure to financial evaluation, deal support, and stakeholder management within the pharma sector.

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant, ideally cleared in the first attempt, with more than 12 years of post-qualification experience in well-run medium or large organizations.
  • At least the last 3 years should have been spent in a functional leadership position.
  • Mandatory background in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong capability in financial analysis, operations, and Indian accounting rules along with statutory compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment with changing priorities and ambiguity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with business development and licensing teams to evaluate the financial attractiveness of in-licensing, out-licensing, co-development, co-commercialization, technology transfer, and strategic partnership opportunities.
  • Build and maintain financial models for licensing transactions, including NPV, IRR, and scenario or sensitivity analysis.
  • Contribute to cross-functional due diligence covering BD, R&D, regulatory, IP, legal, and commercial areas.
  • Review financial clauses and terms in licensing and collaboration agreements.
  • Track, account for, and ensure timely payment of milestones, royalties, and other contractual commitments.
  • Prepare and present business case options and scenarios to senior leadership for approval.
