About the Role
Hasbro is seeking a culturally aware and strategically minded Manager, Social Media to guide the social presence of several of its most recognized brands. This position sits at the intersection of brand strategy, content creation, and community building, with a focus on creating social experiences that feel timely, engaging, and connected to fan culture.
The role calls for someone who can think strategically while also staying close to the day-to-day execution of content. You’ll help shape always-on social programs, respond quickly to emerging trends, and build communities that feel genuinely connected to the brand. This is a chance to contribute to iconic entertainment and toy brands in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment.
Once Hasbro’s new Boston headquarters opens, this position will be based onsite Tuesday through Thursday at that location in Boston, MA.
Strategy and Channel Ownership
- Track platform shifts, creator trends, and competitor activity, then turn those observations into recommendations and test-and-learn ideas.
- Own the social strategy and day-to-day management for 2–3 TGL&E brands across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X/Twitter, YouTube, and newer platforms.
- Serve as the editorial lead for the brand voice, quickly assessing micro-trends and deciding when and how the brand should participate.
- Set standards for community engagement across owned channels, nurture fan relationships, monitor conversations, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Campaign and Content Development
- Design social-first approaches for major cultural moments, product launches, tentpole campaigns, and licensing initiatives.
- Lead and contribute to always-on content planning, balancing storytelling, product messaging, entertainment tie-ins, and platform-native creative.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with regional partners to localize influencer and social programs for different markets.
- Act as the social lead across brand, marketing, licensing, entertainment, creative, and analytics teams, translating business goals into effective social execution.
- Partner with product and merchandising teams to connect social commerce tools such as TikTok Shop or Instagram Shopping with creator-led content.
- Coordinate closely with Digital Marketing, Communications/PR, Legal, and Consumer Insights to ensure alignment, compliance, and accurate measurement.
- Support and mentor the Associate Social Media Manager by sharing expertise and strengthening the quality of the work.
Measurement, Compliance, and Process
- Own reporting for assigned brands, including KPI tracking, insight generation, and recommendations that improve strategy, content, and media investment.
- Stay current on industry trends, FTC guidance, and platform updates to maintain best practices.
- Help develop standard operating procedures that can be used across the broader team.
Experience and Qualifications
- 4–6+ years of experience in social media, preferably within consumer brands, entertainment, or toys and games.
- Demonstrated success managing multiple brands with measurable business or audience impact.
- Strong working knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and related social platforms.
- Ability to brief, capture, or write creative content with confidence.
- Comfort working in matrixed organizations and building effective partnerships across teams.
- Analytical approach with familiarity using social analytics tools and dashboards.
- Interest in pop culture, gaming, and the Hasbro brand universe.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational abilities.
- Capability to handle several projects at once while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits
The posted pay range for this position is USD 79,400 to USD 119,000 per year. Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, location, and market conditions. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of the overall compensation package, subject to role, location, and eligibility.
