A Dubai-based engineering team is hiring a meticulous Mechanical Inspector to support inspections across construction and renovation work. The position focuses on confirming that mechanical installations and components meet project requirements, safety rules, and quality expectations.

About the Role

In this role, you will assess mechanical systems and equipment, document findings, and work closely with project stakeholders to address issues during ongoing projects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect mechanical installations in commercial properties, retail spaces, shopping malls, and renovation sites.
• Check that all mechanical work aligns with approved designs, safety requirements, and applicable local rules.
• Spot defects or deviations from standards, record them clearly, and suggest suitable corrective measures.
• Examine mechanical drawings, technical specifications, and work methods to confirm compliance.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to help keep mechanical work on schedule.
• Prepare and maintain thorough inspection records and project documentation.
• Track on-site progress and quality of mechanical work on a regular basis.
• Follow safety procedures throughout all inspection tasks.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of total experience in mechanical inspection or a closely related role.
• At least 5 years of work experience in the UAE.
• Background in commercial buildings, retail outlets, malls, and renovation assignments.
• Valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, codes, and standards.
• Strong spoken and written communication, including report preparation.
• Ability to work both on your own and as part of a team.

Preferred Profile

• Knowledge of UAE regulations and industry standards is an advantage.
• Experience on large-scale commercial projects is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving ability with close attention to detail.
