Mechanical Installation Lead

Join the project execution team in Dubai, UAE as a Mechanical Installation Lead, supporting major airport logistics projects that cover baggage and cargo handling, logistics software digitization, and maintenance services. The company works with well-known airports and airlines worldwide, delivering advanced and reliable solutions for airport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate all mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning work for BHS/MHS systems at the project site.
• Serve as the main mechanical lead on site, making sure tasks are completed safely, on schedule, and in line with approved drawings, technical specifications, and quality expectations.
• Set the tone for safe execution by actively promoting HSE practices and demonstrating the organization’s safety-first approach.
• Oversee subcontractors and cross-functional site teams so project milestones are achieved efficiently.
• Support subcontractors in creating and applying method statements, risk assessments, and work permits.
• Work closely with Site Management, Engineering, Logistics, and Procurement to keep site activities moving smoothly and ensure materials arrive and are used effectively.
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and installation procedures to confirm the work is carried out correctly.
• Address daily site installation challenges by coordinating with the right teams and resolving issues quickly.
• Assist with testing and commissioning, including any required rework, corrections, or modifications.
• Track installation progress and deliver clear, timely updates to the Site Manager/Director and planning teams.
• Make sure inspections, testing, and project records are completed according to company and client standards.
• Spot possible risks or areas for improvement and work with engineering and site teams to implement corrective or preventive actions.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or another relevant technical field is required.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar site leadership position, including a minimum of 5 years in comparable technical environments.
• Practical background in managing mechanical installation work for airport BHS, material handling, intralogistics, or industrial automation projects.
• Good knowledge of international site execution practices, safety rules, and quality control methods.
• Proven ability to supervise subcontractors and guide multidisciplinary site teams.
• Strong technical understanding of mechanical installation methods, engineering drawings, specifications, and commissioning workflows.
• Confident leadership, coordination, and troubleshooting skills, with a practical hands-on working style.
• Excellent English communication skills; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial.
• Strong dedication to HSE standards and safe work practices.
• Willingness to work in international project settings and travel when needed.
