Medical Representative

Role overview

This position is focused on driving steady sales expansion and meeting territory targets by creating new business opportunities while protecting and growing existing accounts for DP World in the Greater Accra Region.

Key responsibilities

• Engage regularly with general practitioners, specialists, clinics, and hospitals to build and sustain productive working relationships.
• Represent the company in interactions with healthcare professionals and contribute actively to sales and marketing initiatives.
• Keep product, market, and formulary knowledge up to date, and present product advantages in a way that addresses customer needs.
• Develop strong connections with key opinion leaders to support the company’s professional standing and communicate brand messaging effectively.
• Take part in all required annual training and any mandatory internal learning programs.
• Commit to ongoing professional growth and remain informed about the latest medical information and developments.
• Track market activity by collecting information on competitors, including pricing, products, new launches, delivery timelines, and merchandising approaches.
• Maintain regular contact with advisory boards, patient support groups, and other healthcare organisations to identify and monitor important developments in the sector.

Qualifications and experience

• A tertiary qualification in Life Sciences, Sales, Marketing, or Business is required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience is expected; experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Existing customer relationships will be considered an advantage.
• Strong proficiency with the MS Office suite is necessary.
