About the Role
Dijitally partners with businesses to build thoughtful, sustainable digital experiences. Working with a leading Australian fintech company, the team focuses on helping customers and retailers gain more financial flexibility through products that are used every day.
This position is for an experienced UI Designer who can shape polished, scalable interfaces for both web and mobile products. The role is fully remote and open to candidates anywhere in Australia, with day-to-day collaboration aligned mainly to Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) hours.
What You’ll Do
- Create production-ready user interfaces for customer-facing and merchant-facing digital products.
- Turn wireframes and research findings into accessible, refined visual designs.
- Help build, maintain, and improve a design system that can scale across several product squads.
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Brand teams to keep the experience visually consistent.
- Design simple, effective flows for financial journeys such as checkout, onboarding, and account management.
- Support experimentation and A/B testing by producing clear, measurable design deliverables.
- Make accessibility and usability a core part of every release.
What We’re Looking For
- 4–7+ years of experience in UI or Product Design in digital product settings.
- Strong preference for experience in FinTech, BNPL, payments, or other high-transaction consumer products.
- Demonstrated ability to design for multiple teams or squads at scale.
- Advanced Figma capability, including components, variants, auto-layout, and prototyping.
- Solid knowledge of design systems, scalable interface structure, and interaction patterns.
- Excellent sense of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience creating responsive, mobile-first interfaces.
- Good working knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG.
- Comfort working asynchronously across time zones.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain design decisions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with engineers to ensure smooth handoff and implementation.
Working Style
This is a remote position with core hours aligned to the Australian AEST time zone. The company values flexibility and expects strong ownership of workload and communication. Team collaboration happens through Slack, G Suite, and email, so proactive and clear communication is important.
