About the Company

About the Role
The Operations Manager will oversee all day-to-day operational activity for warehouse customers within Fliway Logistics. The role involves making sure warehouse processes, layout, and materials handling follow company methodology, while ensuring people and equipment are used efficiently to meet customer service expectations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive team performance by improving motivation, assigning people effectively, and lifting productivity, including the use of temporary staff, while aligning resourcing with revenue to support profitability.
- Run regular team meetings and toolbox talks, and maintain clear, consistent communication across the operations team.
- Review the development needs of key roles and team members and help build capability and talent within the business.
- Ensure customer requests are received, logged, and actioned correctly, while maintaining a helpful, courteous, and professional approach.
- Act as the main point of contact for daily operational matters and workforce planning, while identifying inefficiencies, reducing costs, and adding value for both the business and its customers.
- Provide operational support across all working hours and oversee the timely completion of daily picking tasks.
- Consistently deliver customer service levels in line with agreed SLAs.
- Use and operate the warehouse management system used by Fliway Logistics and/or the customer.
- Reduce business risk by monitoring customer service performance and cost control measures.
- Ensure stock put-away and order processing are completed in line with best-practice methods.
- Make sure all activity is captured correctly in customer revenue and rate schedules.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle counts and strong stock integrity practices.
- Follow financial controls and work within budget requirements.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and serviced according to company policy.
- Keep the building secure, including security-related responsibilities.
What You Will Bring
- Tertiary study in logistics, supply chain, or business is preferred.
- Hands-on experience using warehouse management systems.
- Proven background in stock control and inventory management.
- Experience managing financial aspects of operations.
- Confident use of Microsoft Word, email, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent planning and organisational ability.
- A calm and steady approach when working under pressure.
