Role overview

This position is part of the Engineering & Facilities function at a hotel property in Abu Dhabi. The role is a non-management, full-time opportunity and is based on-site, not remotely.

What you will do

You will prepare and finish interior and furniture surfaces by applying paint, stain, varnish, and other coatings using tools such as brushes, rollers, and spray guns. The work also includes preparing new surfaces with primers or sealers, removing existing finishes through methods like stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or abrasive blasting, and protecting surrounding areas during painting. You will place visible paint signage where required, clean and return tools and equipment to the proper storage area, and work with vendors when colour adjustments are needed.

The job requires strict compliance with company policies, safety rules, and security procedures. You will need to report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete any required safety training and certifications. Professional grooming, confidentiality, care of company property, and respectful guest service are essential. The role also calls for clear communication, teamwork, and consistent quality standards.

Physical requirements

This position involves frequent physical activity, including reaching overhead and below knee level, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and climbing ladders. You should be able to handle objects of different shapes and weights, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. The role also involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
