Paralegal

About the Role

PerkSpot is hiring a Paralegal to support its Legal function and partner closely with cross-functional teams. The role centers on managing a large volume of commercial contracts, keeping records organized, and helping ensure work complies with company policies and legal requirements.

This is an office-based role in the Greater Chicago Area, with an in-office schedule of three days each week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The workplace is located at the Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago, Illinois.

What You’ll Do

• Review, update, and help manage a broad mix of commercial agreements, including NDAs, vendor contracts, customer agreements, SaaS contracts, statements of work, amendments, and addenda.
• Spot legal concerns or unusual contract terms and escalate them to counsel when needed.
• Check that agreements stay within internal policy and acceptable risk limits.
• Monitor contract progress, renewal dates, termination dates, and other key milestones.
• Keep contract files accurate and maintain version control in Salesforce.
• Assist with audits and due diligence requests.
• Work with Sales, Finance, HR, Procurement, and Operations to keep contract execution moving efficiently.
• Explain contract workflow and document requirements to internal stakeholders.
• Help improve and standardize contract processes.
• Support corporate governance records and documentation.
• Help maintain compliance with regulatory and internal recordkeeping standards.
• Assist with legal research and other special assignments as needed.

First Few Months in the Role

• Meet the legal team and key business partners, including the General Counsel and Sales organization.
• Learn the business, connect with internal stakeholders, and take part in monthly company-wide all-hands meetings.
• Build fluency in the company’s contracting process and compliance expectations.
• Take ownership of the contract management process and develop strong internal working relationships.
• Join company culture activities and team events.

Compensation

The base salary for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year, plus a $2,000 annual bonus.
