This role supports Public Policy and Corporate Responsibility (PPCR), a function that sits at the center of a British universal bank’s societal purpose. The group leads sustainability and citizenship initiatives, internal and external communications strategy, and engagement with government and regulatory policy stakeholders.

Role overview
As Personal Assistant to the Global Head of Citizenship, you will provide wide-ranging executive support and keep a complex global remit running smoothly. You will act as a key point of contact, manage priorities, protect time through effective diary and travel coordination, and help ensure sound decision-making. The role also functions as a communication and coordination hub for internal leaders, external partners, and Citizenship stakeholders. You will support the delivery of meetings, events, and forums that advance the Citizenship agenda, while maintaining strong governance, controls, and risk awareness in a fast-moving, high-visibility environment.
Key responsibilities
- Own the Global Head of Citizenship’s calendar and meeting flow by reviewing requests, handling clashes, and responding in line with priorities.
- Organize travel across flights, hotels, and ground transport while staying aligned with company policy and schedule needs.
- Set up meeting arrangements, including rooms, audio-visual support, and visitor entry access.
- Prepare and distribute agendas and supporting materials ahead of meetings.
- Support the wider Public Policy & Corporate Responsibility leadership team when they are in New York, including administration for team events, communications, and attendee coordination.
- Handle daily administrative tasks such as expenses, corporate card activity, filing, and other management support with a high level of accuracy and discretion.
- Monitor actions and follow-ups through to completion, while spotting upcoming deadlines, dependencies, and risks early.
- Work with internal partners such as technology, facilities, and audio-visual teams to resolve issues quickly and maintain service quality.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Ability to complete assigned work promptly and to a consistently high standard, with a focus on ongoing improvement.
- Strong administrative and coordination capability to support executives and broader teams, including the ability to advise when needed.
- Comfort working across functions and building relationships beyond the immediate team.
- Ownership mindset toward risk management and control improvements in work owned or supported.
- Sound judgment based on factual analysis and a close eye for detail.
- Problem-solving ability, including knowing when to involve wider support to reach a solution.
Additional information
This is a contract position based onsite in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role is suited to a fast-paced, high-profile corporate environment where confidentiality, accuracy, and dependable coordination are essential.
