Why this role is attractive
- Work on innovation-led products and help challenge traditional approaches.
- Collaborate with highly capable professionals across fintech, financial services, and strategy.
- Contribute to projects with real business impact and influence the future of property finance.
- Develop your career in a fast-paced environment that is driven by purpose and growth.
Role overview
This opening is for a hands-on Product Manager to guide the evolution of policy products and AI-enabled experiences that support brokers and customers in lending decisions.
The right person will enjoy full product ownership, from identifying the problem and exploring the opportunity through to delivery, improvement, and long-term product performance. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, QA, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and other stakeholders to improve decisioning, policy, and workflow experiences across the home loan journey. You will also partner with brokers, using their feedback and day-to-day experience to inform clearer policy and better product design.
The position calls for strong product judgment, comfort in complex environments, and the ability to move confidently between strategy, details, and execution. Experience with AI products and experiences that improve outcomes for customers, brokers, and the business will be especially valuable.
Key responsibilities
- Set the direction for policy-related initiatives by owning the roadmap, backlog, and product priorities in line with customer needs, business goals, and regulatory obligations.
- Run discovery work to identify the right problems to solve, drawing on customer input, stakeholder perspectives, data, and subject-matter knowledge.
- Spot opportunities to enhance lending policy, serviceability, decisioning, broker workflows, and AI-enabled experiences throughout the home loan journey.
- Rank initiatives based on customer value, business impact, compliance needs, technical difficulty, and delivery risk.
- Lead discovery, analysis, and solution design for complex policy-domain initiatives from idea stage through implementation.
- Work side by side with Engineering, Design, and QA to turn needs into epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria that can be delivered clearly.
- Capture business processes, system interactions, decision rules, dependencies, and future-state designs to support successful delivery.
- Contribute actively to backlog grooming, estimation, testing, implementation, and release work within cross-functional teams.
- Track outcomes against defined success measures and use data, feedback, and performance signals to improve products and AI capabilities over time.
- Align Product, Engineering, Design, QA, Operations, Compliance, and Risk around decisions and delivery outcomes.
- Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders, manage risks and trade-offs proactively, and maintain a strong understanding of the full home loan journey and wider lending ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Experience managing digital products end to end in technology-focused environments, including discovery, delivery, and ongoing optimisation within Agile teams.
- Proven ability to shape roadmaps, maintain backlogs, set priorities, and make sound trade-off decisions in complex, fast-moving settings.
- A strong analytical, customer-focused mindset supported by data, business context, and domain understanding.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Technical fluency gained through close collaboration with engineers on APIs, integrations, system behaviour, data flows, and solution design, plus familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
- Solid knowledge of lending and home loan processes, along with experience defining success measures and exposure to AI, intelligent automation, or decisioning products.
