Role overview
Gowan Auto, an Irish importer and distributor of several motor brands, is looking for a Product Manager to join its Leapmotor team in Dublin. Reporting to the Leapmotor Brand Manager, this role supports the core production and distribution activities for the brand.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the full product lifecycle across the entire Leapmotor range.
- Track market movements and competitor activity to spot trends and growth opportunities.
- Help protect profit margins by negotiating pricing effectively with Leapmotor International.
- Keep all customer and dealer-facing Leapmotor information up to date.
- Support monthly and annual sales planning and forecasting.
- Manage production volume ordering from the factory.
- Follow the flow of production from the factory through to the dealer network.
- Contribute to day-to-day logistics operations.
- Handle stock allocation and ordering across the network.
- Prepare and prioritise daily, weekly, and monthly summary reports.
- Maintain new model data in SIMI, Revenue, and internal systems.
- Create and present product material for national training sessions.
- Assist the Sales Team in meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
Candidate profile
The preferred candidate will bring experience from the automotive sector. A business degree is advantageous, though equivalent practical experience will also be considered. The role calls for strong IT ability, especially with Microsoft 365 and advanced Excel use, along with solid planning, organisation, and prioritisation skills. Attention to detail is essential, as are strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. The person in this role must be comfortable working with manufacturers and meeting tight deadlines, while also being able to work both independently and as part of a fast-moving team.
