About the Role
SoGal Ventures is hiring a Product Manager to join the Product Management team in New York City. This person will work across the company’s wedding planning products and help shape experiences that support both users and business goals. The role calls for someone who can discuss technical details with engineers, align with business stakeholders on strategy, and stay close to the execution details.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver and strategic thinker who can operate independently, coordinate several initiatives at once, and use data to evaluate impact. You’ll collaborate with thoughtful, customer-focused teammates and help ensure product decisions create value for customers and the business.
What You’ll Do
- Guide a cross-functional group of engineers and designers to create, launch, and improve products that increase business growth and user engagement for wedding planning offerings.
- Work with business leaders to define and own a product roadmap and strategy that is grounded in data and balances customer needs with company priorities.
- Serve as the main spokesperson and expert for your product area, clearly sharing vision, strategy, and outcomes with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Study product performance in depth, use both quantitative and qualitative insights to shape decisions, and define success measures for each initiative.
- Spot risks early, identify new opportunities, and manage trade-offs proactively so projects stay on schedule and achieve the intended results.
- Help shape the Product team’s vision, culture, and operating processes as the organization continues to grow.
- Champion the use of AI tools and agentic workflows to improve the quality and efficiency of day-to-day work.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone with 3–5 years of product management experience at a fast-moving consumer technology company. Experience in a two-sided marketplace or commerce setting is an added advantage.
You should have a strong history of setting product direction and launching successful products that produced measurable business impact. Comfort with data is essential, including experience using reporting and analytics tools such as Looker and Mixpanel.
The role also requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, confidence presenting to executive stakeholders, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams while juggling multiple priorities with a high level of independence. You’ll need technical fluency for discussions around scope and timing, plus a creative, resourceful, customer-first mindset. Interest in the wedding industry is important. Familiarity with current AI tools and workflows is expected, and experience with Claude is a plus.
Education
A BA/BS is required. A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business is preferred.
