Role overview

DAZN is hiring a Production Assistant in Munich, Ismaning to support live sports production across DACH broadcasts. This position is an entry point into the industry and offers practical operational exposure to a busy live production environment. You will report to the Senior Production Manager (Live Events) and contribute to the smooth delivery of events through administrative support, on-site assistance, and post-event follow-up.

The role is well suited to someone who is enthusiastic about live sports broadcasting, ready to learn, and comfortable taking on a mix of high-energy and routine tasks. You will collaborate with experienced producers, production managers, camera operators, and technical teams while building knowledge across the full production workflow.

This position is based in Munich, Ismaning, and also involves time in DAZN’s central Munich office. Please note that parts of the recruitment process may be conducted in English, and applicants are asked to submit an English-language resume.

Key responsibilities

  • Support live event operations on site, including venue preparation, equipment placement, cable organisation, signage setup, and general broadcast readiness before production begins.
  • Act as a runner during live broadcasts by helping the production team and freelance crew with practical needs such as distributing call sheets, arranging refreshments, coordinating communication, and handling urgent errands. This also includes managing OnAir/Execo travel arrangements to and from venues.
  • Help load, unload, move, and set up production equipment for onsite use, and carry out inventory checks before and after events while reporting missing or damaged items to the Production Manager or Senior Production Manager.
  • Support accreditation preparation by entering required data into league tools such as FAME or MST, assisting with crew lists, distributing credentials when needed, and helping people navigate the venue.
  • Make sure production staff receive the correct access passes and are directed to the right production areas within the venue.
  • Assist the Production Coordinator and Production Manager with communications and administration, including schedule distribution, crew contact list updates, message passing, and maintenance of production records during events.
  • Help with travel-related coordination as required, such as collecting visa or other travel documents, arranging ground transport at event locations, and supporting arrival and departure logistics for crew members.
  • Take care of post-event tasks such as preparing production reports, organising documentation, returning equipment, and updating operational records.
  • Proactively build knowledge of live sports production by learning about camera work, sound, graphics, replay, directing, and production management, while shadowing senior team members to develop career skills.

What we're looking for

  • Between 0 and 2 years of experience in production, live events, broadcast, or a similar operational setting.
  • Practical exposure to live sports production, including voluntary, internship, or student-based experience.
  • A basic understanding of how live sports broadcasts are produced and the main roles involved.
  • Experience working in fast-moving team environments with non-standard hours.
  • Familiarity with broadcast production equipment such as cameras, audio gear, monitors, cabling, and connectivity.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office tools, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to learn production tools, technology, and systems while on the job.
  • Native or near-native German, plus good English communication skills for working with international crews and UEFA-related events.
  • A strong track record of reliability, punctuality, and dependability in high-stakes live environments.
  • A proactive mindset, energy, and readiness to take on a wide variety of tasks.
  • Sound practical judgement and strong problem-solving ability.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with diverse production teams.
  • Ability to stay composed under pressure and adjust quickly to changing production demands.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, public holidays, and travel frequently across the DACH region.

Benefits

  • Access to DAZN.
  • 30 days of annual leave.
  • Pension contributions of up to 3%.
  • A family-friendly community.
  • Learning and development resources.
  • Opportunity for mobile working.
  • Access to internal speaker sessions and events.
