What you will do
- Take ownership of backlogged work orders and ensure the most urgent items are handled promptly.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders so work order priorities match production targets and delivery timelines.
- Partner with the Production Control Specialist to forecast, plan, and assign materials based on backlog needs.
- Make sure materials are distributed and handled properly so backlogged orders can be completed without delay.
- Track material availability and work with inventory teams to fix shortages or related issues before they disrupt output.
- Raise move orders whenever needed to keep production moving efficiently and reduce backlog pressure.
- Work with associated departments so move orders are completed accurately and on time.
- Investigate and resolve problems linked to work order assignment, equipment, or work order requirements.
- Reduce downtime by quickly addressing obstacles that slow production progress.
- Maintain close coordination with Production Control to keep planning, forecasting, and material allocation aligned.
- Support and lead special projects within the value stream as assigned.
Experience and background
The company is looking for someone with 3 to 5 years of experience in a comparable role, ideally in production, operations, or supply chain environments. Prior hands-on exposure to backlog management, work order prioritization, troubleshooting, material handling, distribution, and forecasting is important.
Working arrangement and eligibility
This is a fully on-site role based in Shannon, Ireland, working Monday to Friday. Candidates must already be legally permitted to live and work in the hiring country. Immigration sponsorship is not available, and international relocation or remote working from outside the hiring country will not be considered.
