Project Engineer

Role Overview

This role is responsible for directing operational projects from planning through delivery, making sure each assignment supports the company’s objectives and wider strategic direction. The position is based in Abu Dhabi Emirate and requires strong coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management across multiple teams and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of project planning, execution, and final delivery for operational initiatives while keeping them aligned with business goals.
• Build comprehensive project plans covering scope, timelines, budgets, and staffing/resource needs.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to keep activities on track and maintain clear communication across stakeholders.
• Track progress against milestones, review performance data, and spot deviations early so issues can be resolved promptly.
• Apply project management tools and methods to control schedules, risks, and resources efficiently.
• Compile and share project updates for senior leaders and stakeholders, including status, risk, and performance summaries.
• Ensure work is delivered in line with quality expectations, regulatory obligations, and internal policies, taking corrective action where needed.
• Manage project finances by estimating costs, monitoring spending, and keeping expenditures within approved budgets.
• Anticipate and reduce project risks by preparing contingency measures and responding to possible obstacles.
• Run project meetings such as launch sessions, progress reviews, and post-completion discussions to keep everyone aligned.
• Oversee allocation of people, equipment, and materials to support smooth project delivery.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with vendors, contractors, and other external partners.
• Handle change control activities, ensuring modifications are documented and communicated properly.
• Guide and support team members while encouraging a cooperative and productive working environment.
• Promote a collaborative team culture that strengthens morale and productivity.
• Follow HSEQ policies, workplace procedures, and local legal requirements, and remain accountable for safe and compliant working practices.
• Maintain a proactive working relationship with authorities and contribute ideas for service improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant discipline is required.
• Applicants should have 4 to 5 years of experience in project management or operations leadership, with a successful record of handling operational projects.
• Practical knowledge of fit-out works is essential.
• Strong command of project planning, scheduling, and resource management is expected.
• Leadership capability and team management experience are necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are important for this position.
• The role requires confidence in budget handling, financial monitoring, and cost control.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are needed.
• Experience with risk management and change control processes is required.
• The candidate should be comfortable interpreting performance metrics and introducing improvements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple teams and manage stakeholder relationships is essential.
• Experience preparing and presenting project reports and progress updates is required.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
