Role Overview

This position leads the full lifecycle of technical and business projects within the company’s project portfolio. The Project Manager is responsible for shaping the project plan from early specifications through partner coordination and delivery. The role calls for someone who can stay composed in difficult situations, keep teams aligned, and balance detailed execution with a broad view of project goals.

As a member of the Payments team, you will contribute to project management strategy, methods, and continuous improvement efforts. You will also work closely with stakeholders to clear blockers, support delivery, and help the team move complex initiatives forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead multiple cross-functional initiatives from start to finish, covering planning, budget management, reporting, implementation, and change control.
• Run projects in line with the Solution Delivery Centre of Excellence processes and delivery standards.
• Handle changes to scope and support timely decisions when priorities shift.
• Track and communicate project scope, schedule, risks, and health metrics according to defined KPIs, governance, and reporting rules.
• Build, maintain, and monitor project budgets, including tracking project-related spending.
• Create project schedules, coordinate communications, and oversee overall delivery.
• Prepare updates for sponsors and senior leaders; facilitate retrospectives and requirements sessions, document conclusions, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
• Oversee project resources and provide administrative coordination across the project lifecycle.
• Manage vendor and third-party relationships when project needs require it.
• Coordinate dependencies across teams and resolve scheduling conflicts involving internal and external contributors.
• Partner with the Centre of Excellence and cross-functional teams to improve project management practices and methodology.

Candidate Profile

You should bring at least 3 years of experience managing technical and business projects, ideally in financial services, information technology, product development, or business transformation. A university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred, though equivalent work experience and certifications may also be considered.

The role favors candidates with PMP certification and hands-on experience using tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and Planview PPM. You should also have exposure to technology delivery supporting product development and infrastructure work.

This position suits someone who is highly organized, detail-focused, calm under pressure, and comfortable handling conflict, change requests, and multiple moving parts. Strong communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to influence across teams and adapt quickly in a fast-changing environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role is CAD 90,000 to CAD 105,000 annually. In addition, the selected candidate will be eligible for a short-term incentive plan. Final compensation will depend on skills, experience, and job-related knowledge.
