Role Overview
This position is based at a construction site and focuses on keeping attendance, time records, and payroll inputs accurate and up to date. The successful candidate will verify daily attendance, compare timesheets with badge-scan data, correct discrepancies, ensure absences are coded properly, and confirm that hours comply with applicable labor agreements. The role also supports payroll processing for terminations, year-end pay statements, paychecks, and employee entitlements in line with internal deadlines and Australian statutory requirements.
The Project Timekeeper will work closely with craft employees, timekeeping staff, accounting teams, labor relations, payroll shared services, IS&T support, supervisors, and field leaders to manage SAP-based timekeeping and payroll queries. The role also includes reporting, crew timesheet administration, and support for other FIFO timekeeping coverage when needed.

The posting also notes relocation authorization as National - Camp and identifies the telework arrangement as Full-Time Office/Project.
Key Duties
Daily work includes entering payroll information, onboarding new project hires, issuing badges, validating time capture through the eTrack system, reconciling and exporting time records, handling replacement badges and time clock issues, preparing operational reports, managing weekly payroll distribution, processing leave and call-in requests, maintaining employee records, and supporting gate-watch badge scanning at the site.

The position calls for either a university hire with 1-2 years of experience or someone with 5-6 years of relevant experience. Strong communication, confidentiality, ethical conduct, customer service, and spreadsheet analysis skills are important, along with hands-on exposure to payroll and timekeeping systems. Familiarity with eTrack or a similar platform, plus experience on large FIFO-style construction projects, will be valuable.
