Role Overview
Lake Imaging is hiring a full-time Radiographer (Medical Imaging Technologist) for its Ballarat team. The position gives you the chance to work across both hospital and clinic environments, support the local community, and gain exposure to a wide variety of advanced imaging services.
The role involves a blend of site-based practice across multiple locations, with a strong emphasis on delivering an excellent experience for patients. You will use modern imaging technology, strengthen your capability across several modalities, and work closely with radiologists and specialist providers in a collaborative clinical setting.

- X-ray and OPG
- Fluoroscopy
- CT and cardiac CT
- MRI
- Mammography
- Bone densitometry
- Interventional radiology

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out diagnostic imaging procedures to a high standard, following Lake Imaging clinical protocols and quality expectations.
- Operate effectively in a busy, multi-site workflow and use RIS/PACS systems confidently to support day-to-day operations.
- Follow radiation safety rules, quality assurance processes, and all relevant regulatory obligations without compromise.
- Work with radiologists and other clinical staff to assist with imaging procedures, including sterile and interventional techniques when needed.
- Support a fast-moving hospital department that uses modern equipment and contemporary imaging practices.
- Provide excellent patient care through clear communication, a professional approach, and strong teamwork.
Candidate Profile
You should hold qualifications in medical imaging, such as a Bachelor of Science or an equivalent award. Current AHPRA registration is mandatory.
Experience in CT will be an advantage, while capability in MRI or mammography will be regarded positively. Familiarity with Siemens and Shimadzu equipment is also beneficial.
The ideal candidate communicates well, builds strong working relationships with patients, colleagues, and referrers, and is committed to continuous learning, professional growth, and ongoing education.
