Role summary
Community Coffee is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead a high-performing sales team within a designated territory. This position focuses on revenue growth, management of Direct Store Delivery (DSD) accounts, and execution of company sales goals through planning, coaching, customer partnership, and disciplined performance management.
Department and reporting line
This role sits within the Coffee Service Division and reports to the Director of Sales Execution.
Work setup and travel
The position is based on-site in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Up to 50% travel is required, and travel will be within the assigned region to visit customer locations and carry out job responsibilities using a company vehicle or another form of transportation.

Key duties
- Set, roll out, and track regional sales strategies designed to meet annual company targets.
- Recruit, coach, develop, and keep a strong sales team in place, including planning for succession.
- Support the growth and retention of DSD accounts across the assigned territory.
- Guide the regional DSD team in meeting performance goals, improving customer relationships, handling issues, expanding account sales, and refining processes.
- Build forecasts, review sales results by location, and use the data to shape targets and sales policies.
- Oversee channel expansion and coordinate distribution activity by defining territories, quotas, and routing plans.
- Manage regional spending against budget expectations and take full responsibility for area P&L performance.
- Work with important accounts, especially complex, high-value, or at-risk customers, to support negotiations, relationship management, and deal closure.
- Set and enforce performance measures that support profitability and long-term account health.
- Partner with other departments to provide field-level support that aligns with broader company goals.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in line with company policies and applicable laws.
- Take on additional responsibilities when needed.
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field from a four-year college or university is preferred.
- At least 5 years of management or supervisory experience in a DSD sales environment is required.
- The candidate must be 21 years of age or older.
- A valid driver’s license is required, along with an acceptable driving record.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as handheld point-of-sale systems, is preferred.
- For internal candidates, prior experience with Community Coffee may satisfy the requirement at the hiring manager’s discretion, with Human Resources approval.

Physical and workplace expectations
The role is primarily performed in an office setting, where the noise level is generally quiet. The position requires frequent sitting and occasional standing, walking, reaching, using hands to handle objects or controls, and speaking or hearing.
