Role overview
This opportunity is for a designer who can help define the visual identity of a new international swimwear and lifestyle label. The brand is built around body positivity and confidence for women, with particular attention to curvy silhouettes, fuller bust support, and lipoedema-friendly considerations. The work will focus on the first collection and on turning brand ideas and moodboards into polished, feminine, and practical swimwear concepts.
The assignment also calls for thoughtful pattern and print development, a tropical-inspired visual direction, and an ongoing creative partnership to help bring the brand’s concept to life.
Deliverables
- Conceptualize and sketch original bikini shorts, swim tops, and tankini designs suited to curvy and varied body shapes.
- Develop prints and patterns that align with a fresh, feminine, modern, tropical look.
- Contribute to brand-building tasks, including refining moodboards and logo ideas already in progress.
- Share design revisions, respond to feedback, and refine the work until the intended style is achieved.
- Prepare manufacturer-ready artwork along with technical specifications for production.
Requirements
- Background in fashion design or brand design, with swimwear or women’s apparel experience preferred.
- A portfolio that clearly shows ability in garment design, print creation, and pattern development.
- Strong grasp of how fit, comfort, and styling need to adapt for curvy and diverse body types.
- Confident use of design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD software.
- Ability to translate moodboards and brand ideas into a unified visual direction.
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to creative work.
- Familiarity with current swimwear trends, fabric choices, and sustainable materials would be an advantage.
- Must be available for continued collaboration and able to meet project deadlines consistently.
