The Role
The Restaurant Supervisor supports seamless dining room operations and memorable guest service by guiding the Front of House team throughout service. This position manages the pace of service, provides direction to team members, and upholds strong standards for cleanliness, organization, and presentation. The role also helps build a positive team culture, tracks guest satisfaction, reinforces health and safety expectations, assists with staff development, resolves service concerns, and carries out opening and closing responsibilities so the restaurant is ready for each shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the Front of House team during service to keep operations running smoothly and maintain a high-quality guest experience.
- Monitor service pace, coordinate team tasks, and respond quickly to any delays or service challenges.
- Hold pre-shift meetings to review service priorities, daily specials, and guest expectations.
- Serve as the main support contact for team members while service is underway.
- Make sure the dining room is clean, organized, and fully set for service.
- Check in with guests, gauge satisfaction, and address concerns in a timely manner.
- Encourage teamwork through coaching, guidance, training, and ongoing feedback.
- Apply health, safety, and hygiene standards consistently across the dining area.
- Resolve service issues efficiently to reduce disruption to guests and operations.
- Assist with special events and coordinate smoothly with the kitchen and other departments.
- Complete opening and closing tasks and lead the team so the dining room is prepared for the next service.
What We Are Looking For
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage, or 5 or more years working as a lead server.
- Demonstrated success delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced, upscale setting.
- Strong leadership ability with the confidence to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent organization and strong attention to detail.
- Professional manner with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort using a point-of-sale system; experience with Silverware POS is considered an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of restaurant and beverage operations, including menu items and dietary needs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while staying calm and composed.
- Serving It Right Certificate or an equivalent certification.
- WSET certification is an asset.
- Availability for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role starts at $24.30 and goes up to $27.00 per hour, with final compensation based on your skill set, education, and experience. Benefits may vary depending on the position and level, and can include employer-paid health, vision, and dental coverage for you and your family, ongoing learning and development opportunities, Employee and Family Assistance Program access, discounts on resort food, golf, retail, and spa services, support for health and wellness goals, and eligibility for the Registered Pension Plan after 1 year.
