Role Overview

Davy is hiring a Scrum Master to strengthen Agile delivery across its teams. This role is focused on helping multidisciplinary squads work effectively, coaching colleagues in Agile thinking, and improving delivery flow and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile delivery practices and help embed Agile culture across multidisciplinary teams, ensuring work is carried out in line with Scrum principles and broader Agile best practice.
  • Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile mindset and ways of working.
  • Run core Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Identify delivery blockers early, track them, and work with internal teams, other squads, and external parties to remove them.
  • Work with Product Owners to keep the backlog refined, prioritised, and transparent.
  • Help coordinate backlog activities within the squad and provide visibility into delivery status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Promote Agile standards, governance, and tooling across the organisation.

Experience and Background

  • At least 5 years of experience working as a Scrum Master in software delivery settings, with evidence of improving team performance and delivery results.
  • Experience in cross-functional environments involving engineering, product, UX, and operations, ideally within medium to large organisations.
  • Exposure to Agile transformation work, including introducing or strengthening Agile practices across teams or departments.
  • Comfort working both in hands-on delivery and in coaching or mentoring roles.
  • Experience with scaled Agile approaches such as SAFe or the Spotify model, or in multi-team environments, is a strong advantage.

Agile Expertise

  • Strong working knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and blended approaches such as Scrumban.
  • Ability to facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews while encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Experience defining and improving Definition of Ready and Definition of Done practices.
  • Familiarity with delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, and flow efficiency.

Coaching and Leadership

  • Capability to coach teams, Product Owners, and stakeholders to raise Agile maturity and improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation skills, with the ability to remove impediments and reinforce accountability.
  • Experience applying lean principles and improving workflow efficiency.
  • Confidence influencing people at all levels, including senior stakeholders.

Technical and Delivery Practices

  • Good understanding of modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automation, and DevOps.
  • Awareness of Agile engineering methods including BDD, TDD, and feature toggling.
  • Experience helping teams deliver quality software in iterative and incremental cycles.

Tools and Data

  • Comfort using Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to work with reporting and analytics tools to monitor Agile performance.
  • Use of data and insights to improve decision-making and delivery predictability.
