Role overview
G4S Secure Solutions Ireland is hiring a Security Officer for its Tralee, County Kerry location. This role offers the chance to join a global security organisation and contribute to the protection of people, property, and assets across client sites.
Working arrangement
The position is a full-time onsite role with 36 contractual hours. The roster runs Monday to Friday from 7am to 7pm.
Pay and additional compensation
The base rate is €15.41 per hour. Additional pay includes a Sunday premium of €3.44 per hour, an unsociable hours payment of €20.00 per shift worked, overtime at 1.5 times pay after 96 hours per fortnight, and bank holiday pay at double time when worked, all subject to the ERO order.
Main duties
You will help maintain a safe and secure environment by patrolling the site, monitoring CCTV and access control systems, responding to alarms and incidents, documenting events, and working with emergency services when needed. A strong customer service approach is also important while remaining alert to security risks.

Eligibility and requirements
Applicants should hold a valid PSA Security Guarding licence and have previous security experience in Ireland. A safepass and manual handling certificate are required because of the nature of the work and environment. A full manual Irish driving licence is desirable. Candidates must have fluent spoken and written English at a minimum C1 level, and be able to pass screening and vetting covering five years of verifiable employment and personal activity.
