The Security Support Executive (SSI) is responsible for leading shift operations, keeping the site compliant with procedures, supervising security guards, handling incidents, and maintaining disciplined reporting and documentation throughout the shift.
Core Responsibilities
- Act as a representative of the organization’s values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
- Manage shift command duties, including daily deployment, attendance, discipline, and performance monitoring of security staff.
- Prepare duty rosters, shift schedules, and manpower allocation plans based on site needs.
- Conduct regular briefings, refresher sessions, and training on security procedures and operational expectations.
- Ensure guards follow SOPs, grooming rules, and the required level of operational discipline.
- Oversee access control by authorizing entry and exit for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Ensure proper use and tracking of access cards, ID badges, and visitor passes, while maintaining entry logs and vehicle movement records.
- Supervise material movement, verify approved gate passes, and keep asset movement logs and daily inward/outward registers updated.
- Perform routine checks in storerooms and other sensitive areas.
- Make sure CCTV systems remain functional and continuously monitored, and coordinate with technical teams for maintenance, backups, and footage retrieval.
- Review surveillance footage during incidents or routine audits when needed.
- Maintain all required compliance records such as daily logs, attendance sheets, incident registers, patrol reports, and key registers.
- Keep documentation complete, current, and ready for audit checks.
- Track gate passes, key movement, and ID card issuance carefully.
- Respond quickly to security breaches, theft, disputes, and emergencies.
- Carry out an initial inquiry, collect statements and evidence, and escalate issues to management.
- Document incidents and follow-up actions accurately.
- Carry out periodic patrols of floors, parking areas, perimeter zones, and restricted locations.
- Record observations in the patrol register and identify risks such as open doors, electrical hazards, leaks, and safety violations.
- Report any abnormal situation immediately.
- Prepare shift reports covering deployment strength versus actual deployment, exceptions, incidents, patrol compliance, and system issues.
Qualifications and Reporting Expectations
- Graduate with at least 2 years of experience in the security domain.
- Shift handover and takeover notes must be prepared.
- Daily shift reports should include attendance, deployment, patrol compliance, and exceptions.
- Post-audit checklists must be maintained at the required minimum frequency.
- Incident and exception reports must be submitted within SLA timelines.
Working Conditions
This role requires the physical and mental ability to perform all essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
- Travel as required.
