Role Overview
This part-time Senior Facilities Manager position is based in Dubai and combines on-site work with the flexibility to work from home. The role focuses on keeping the workplace operating smoothly by managing facilities activities such as building upkeep, safety, security, cleaning, and office support services.
What You’ll Handle
You will take ownership of day-to-day facilities operations, coordinate maintenance and repair work, work closely with vendors and contractors, and help ensure the workplace remains safe, efficient, and well maintained.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee routine facilities operations, including maintenance, security, safety, cleaning, and office services.
- Manage service providers and vendors, including performance oversight and agreement negotiations.
- Plan and coordinate repair work, preventive maintenance, and response to operational issues.
- Support space planning, office relocations, and workplace move activities.
- Track facility-related spending and look for practical ways to control costs.
- Prepare and implement facilities procedures, standards, and operating guidelines.
- Ensure the workplace meets relevant local regulations and health and safety expectations.
- Work with leadership and other teams to support continuity of business operations and improve the employee experience.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate brings senior-level or supervisory experience in facilities, property, or workplace operations, along with strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. The role also requires confidence in managing multiple priorities within a part-time schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Background in facilities management, property management, or workplace operations, preferably at a senior or supervisory level.
- Strong capability in managing vendors and contractors, including service-level oversight and negotiations.
- Hands-on experience with maintenance, safety, and security processes in office or commercial environments.
- Working knowledge of budgeting, cost control, and financial tracking for operational activities.
- Understanding of health, safety, environmental, and building rules applicable in Dubai and across the UAE.
- Excellent organization, planning, and time management skills.
- Good communication and relationship-building skills for working with internal teams and external service partners.
- Comfort using facilities and office tools such as CMMS platforms, ticketing systems, spreadsheets, and collaboration software.
- Ability to work independently, use sound judgment, and resolve issues in a practical way.
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Facilities or property management certifications such as IFMA, BIFM, or similar are considered beneficial.
- English fluency is required; Arabic is an added advantage.
