Role overview

This opportunity is being handled on behalf of a partner company, which will manage applications and the next steps in the hiring process. The partner is seeking a Senior Product Designer who is based in Germany.

In this role, you will help craft the experience of a modern benefits platform that makes insurance, pension, and employee benefit workflows simpler for companies and their teams. The product serves thousands of employees across Europe, and your work will focus on transforming complex financial and insurance processes into clear, elegant digital experiences. This is a high-impact position where you will own important product areas from initial concept through release, working closely with engineering and product partners. You will be part of a fast-moving, design-led environment where quality, product thinking, and delivery speed all matter. As one of the early members of the design team, you will also help establish scalable design standards, systems, and patterns. Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for major product areas from discovery through implementation, with a strong focus on delivering excellent user experiences.
• Turn unclear product problems into well-structured user journeys, interaction patterns, and interface solutions.
• Work side by side with engineers and product managers to define scope, refine ideas, and ship improvements quickly.
• Create and evolve a scalable design system with reusable components and consistent UX patterns across the platform.
• Raise product quality through critique, user-focused decision-making, and careful attention to interaction details.
• Build and test prototypes rapidly using modern AI-assisted tools such as Cursor or Claude Code to explore and validate ideas.
• Influence product direction and design strategy beyond individual features, helping shape the platform’s future.
• Champion design quality and consistency across every user interaction and touchpoint.

Requirements

• Background as a Product Designer working on complex digital products, preferably in B2B, fintech, HR tech, or data-rich environments.
• Strong ownership across the full design lifecycle, including discovery, UX, UI, and delivery.
• Solid understanding of interaction design, systems thinking, and reusable UX frameworks.
• Experience creating and maintaining design systems with an emphasis on consistency and reuse.
• Ability to balance fast iteration with polished craft, knowing when to move quickly and when to refine.
• Comfort working independently with initiative and accountability in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted design or development tools, such as Cursor and Claude Code, for prototyping and iteration.
• A strong portfolio that demonstrates product thinking, interaction design, and high-quality visual work.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
