About Vidsy
Vidsy is a worldwide creative platform reshaping how major brands build paid social video advertising. With offices and teams in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto, and London, the company works with large advertisers such as L’Oréal, Amazon, PepsiCo, Google, and Warner Bros. to deliver creator-led and AI-assisted video content at scale.
The Role
This position is for a social-first creative who understands the pace, language, and mechanics of social media. In this role, you will shape ideas that are built for the scroll, connecting brand objectives with strong creative execution. Your day-to-day work will involve developing concepts, guiding Vidsy’s global creator network, and partnering with the internal Motion Design team to turn ideas into finished assets.
If you naturally analyse why a TikTok hook lands, stay immersed in social platforms, and think in vertical video, this opportunity is a strong fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and shape social-led creative ideas for brands across categories such as beauty, gaming, technology, and entertainment.
- Serve as the creative link between strategists, client managers, and motion designers to keep projects aligned.
- Write briefs and direct external creators so they produce authentic, polished user-generated content.
- Track changes in platform behaviour and trends across TikTok, Reels, and Snap so client work stays current.
- Present concepts and defend creative direction with confidence in front of enterprise clients.
Requirements
- At least 18 months of experience, or equivalent, in the creative field or in social content production.
- Strong understanding of how TikTok, Meta, and Snap function as social platforms.
- A portfolio that shows the ability to create compelling, social-first vertical video storytelling.
- Ability to generate ideas quickly across very different brand categories.
- Comfort leading client conversations and presenting ideas clearly and persuasively.
- Preferred experience briefing creators, editors, or motion designers.
- Working knowledge of Adobe tools and the overall video production process.
- Interest in experimenting with AI tools for ideation or production efficiency.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay is expected to fall between CAD 55,000 and CAD 75,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Private healthcare coverage is provided.
- A flexible, virtual-first hybrid working model is offered.
- 25 vacation days plus public holidays are included.
- Employees may work away from their hub, or from another Vidsy office, for up to 4 weeks per year.
- One paid volunteer day is provided each year.
- Wellness support includes access to wellbeing programmes and an Employee Assistance Program.
- Enhanced parental leave policies are available and designed to adapt to individual needs.
- Carbon footprint offsetting is supported through the company’s Ecologi partnership.
Work Setup
Vidsy follows a hybrid, virtual-first approach across its hubs. New team members must be based locally to the relevant hub from the start date, while still having access to office space when needed for collaboration or productivity. The mix of in-office and remote work will depend on the team, the role, and personal preference.
Reporting Line
You will report to Remi, Creative Director, who joined Vidsy in 2019. He helped grow the company’s North American presence, beginning in New York and now expanding into Toronto. He is known for building high-performing teams, mentoring talent, and driving creative results, while also bringing a fun social energy to the workplace.
Interview Process
- 30-minute introductory conversation with a member of the Talent team.
- 60-minute video interview with Flick to discuss your background and the role.
- 90-minute final stage with 2 to 3 Vidsy team members, including a presentation based on a previously assigned task.
Diversity & Inclusion
Vidsy is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming workplace. The company values varied experiences, viewpoints, and backgrounds, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, gender, national origin, age, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
