Role Overview
This position is for a Logistics Analyst focused on operations. The role is centered on resolving transportation and logistics invoice issues, improving coordination across vendors and internal teams, and strengthening overall process efficiency.
Core Responsibilities
- Handle disputed and past-due transportation and logistics invoices by tracing the root cause and closing each case through to resolution.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and internal stakeholders to address payment-related queries quickly and effectively.
- Prepare weekly status reports on invoice activity, share findings with vendors and stakeholders, and improve visibility into operational performance.
- Study recurring invoice mismatch patterns and drive improvement actions that reduce errors and shorten cycle times.
- Support the logistics operations team to maintain steady performance and alignment with business objectives.
- Track 3PL partner performance and assess compliance with service expectations and operational standards.
Success Measures
- Maintain a zero overdue invoice position and resolve disputed invoices within 14 days.
- Ensure freight invoices are billed in line with contractual or negotiated rates and processed without unnecessary delay.
- Encourage a continuous improvement mindset within the operations function.
- Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of end-to-end logistics processes.
Qualification & Experience
The ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics and bring 8 to 12 years of experience. The role calls for someone who is proactive, inquisitive, and able to identify issues independently before driving practical solutions.
Relevant background in logistics operations is important, especially hands-on work involving invoice review, dispute resolution, and process improvements. Prior supervisory or team-support exposure is preferred, along with the ability to guide and mentor colleagues.
Strong domain knowledge of freight documentation, freight invoices, statements of account (SOAs), and logistics terminology is essential. The role also requires strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capability, and the confidence to influence people across different levels of the organization.
Candidates should be comfortable working in complex and global operating environments, and should have working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP platforms such as SAP. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation ability, and fluency in English are required.
