Role overview

Advance Auto Parts is hiring a Store Driver in Warner Robins, GA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on delivering parts to professional customers, supporting store operations, and helping drive sales through excellent customer service and product knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Pick, stage, and deliver parts safely to professional customers.
• Collect returns and cores during deliveries.
• Distribute weekly and monthly sales flyers while highlighting current promotions and loyalty programs.
• Handle daily collection activity for credit accounts.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers, and share delivery-based insights with the CPP.
• Support upselling and cross-selling efforts to help raise average transaction value.
• Keep the store clean and organized, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting, and the parking lot.
• Assist with general stocking duties such as truck stocking, back stock management, and cycle counts.
• Stay current on inventory and new product arrivals to better support sales.
• Speak with walk-in customers to learn their needs and suggest suitable parts or services.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.

Essential skills and job requirements

• Ability to speak and write in English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for building relationships with customers, peers, and leaders.
• Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals.
• Accurate basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Availability to work a mix of days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
• Confidence engaging customers and promoting products.
• Willingness to learn new products and sales techniques.
• Automotive parts experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical requirements

This position involves regular walking and standing. The role also requires speaking and hearing, using hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reaching with arms, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Required vision abilities include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work environment

The job is mainly performed indoors, but occasional outdoor work is required in different weather conditions, including tasks such as installing batteries and wiper blades. The role may also involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock risk, explosives, and vibration. Noise levels are usually moderate.
