About the role

Sequel is a digital family office serving elite athletes, artists, and entrepreneurs, and it supports companies that aim to improve humanity. The organization’s main audience is founders, and part of the mission is to help them communicate their journeys in a way that opens doors and accelerates progress.

The company is growing a high-calibre storytelling function and is hiring a Storyteller to create visually polished, meaningful content from start to finish. This person will shape ideas, plan shoots, film, edit, and finish content that feels premium, emotionally resonant, and strategically aligned.

Unlike roles focused on only one part of production, this position covers the entire creative process. You will investigate the topic, build the idea, write the script, run the shoot, edit the final piece, and enhance it with music, motion, and animation. The role is not about simply executing a brief; it involves helping determine what should be made, why it matters, and how it should land with the audience.

What you will do

  • Develop compelling content that informs and inspires, producing end-to-end video pieces for members and portfolio companies.
  • Work side by side with startups to capture founder stories, company missions, and key milestones.
  • Prepare shoots carefully by handling lighting, arranging sets and furniture, and making sure every production detail contributes to a premium look.
  • Film both in studio and on location, often working directly with founders and athletes.
  • Edit a wide range of video formats, including trailers, launch or drop videos, educational investing content, founder documentaries, behind-the-scenes footage, and mission-focused stories, with content tailored for social channels and the app experience.
  • Incorporate AI tools into the creative workflow in practical ways that improve output quality and speed.
  • Contribute fresh ideas during bi-weekly Story Lab sessions by bringing concepts that are grounded in references and aligned to the team’s three content areas.

Requirements

The successful candidate should bring several years of full-cycle video creation experience, a strong portfolio, and the technical ability to produce cinematic work at a high standard. The role also calls for someone who can work quickly, collaborate well, and uphold premium brand expectations.

Additional requirements and notes

  • Between 3 and 6+ years of end-to-end video production experience.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates high-impact, visually impressive storytelling.
  • Strong filming skills, including lighting design, camera movement, and cinematic techniques.
  • Practical experience using professional equipment such as Nikon cameras, lenses, gimbals, and lighting kits.
  • Confident use of editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Working knowledge of basic animation.
  • Ability to build narratives that connect emotionally with viewers.
  • Comfort working to tight deadlines while handling several projects at once.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong visual sense.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Well-organized, reliable, and accountable.
  • Ability to produce content that stays consistent with premium brand standards.
  • Understanding of sound design and the role it plays in storytelling.
  • Collaborative attitude and openness to feedback.
  • Must already have the legal right to work in the UK and must not need visa sponsorship.
  • Preferred extras: familiarity with AI tools such as Higgsfield and a genuine interest in startups, investing, or professional sport.
