Role summary
Alternative Heat Ltd is looking for a well-organised, proactive Subcontractor Coordinator to oversee the sourcing, tendering, and onboarding of subcontractors for Data Centre and Decarbonisation projects. The role focuses on managing outsourced work packages from start to finish, ensuring subcontractors are selected in line with project needs and wider business goals.
Team context
The wider team is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering manufacturing and assembly activities across fabrication facilities. It supports the production of bespoke mechanical and electrical components, with a strong emphasis on quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Close coordination with design and project teams is essential to keep projects moving successfully.

Location: Dundalk, Coe’s Road, Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland
Department: Contracts
Reporting to: Project Manager
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm; Friday, 8:00am to 3:00pm
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Key duties
You will manage the full subcontractor tender cycle, from the initial scope definition through to contract award. This includes preparing and issuing RFQs, reviewing technical and commercial submissions, and assisting with final negotiations.
The role also covers identifying and onboarding appropriate subcontractors, carrying out due diligence checks on capability, HSEQ compliance, financial strength, and legal or contractual suitability. You will maintain strong supplier relationships and act as a main contact during both tender and project delivery stages.
In addition, you will keep documentation accurate and compliant, track subcontractor performance, and contribute to ongoing improvements in subcontractor management processes to strengthen engagement and efficiency.
