Role Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst will join the Strategic Sourcing team and help ensure the organization complies with trade rules, tariff requirements, and duty obligations. The role centers on working closely with suppliers to obtain, track, and confirm key documentation such as USMCA and K32 certificates, along with material composition and country-of-origin details for purchased parts. The analyst will also assist the Sourcing Business Management team by cleaning, organizing, and maintaining records in tracking systems so compliance data remains accurate and dependable.
Key Duties
- Work with suppliers to follow up on information requests, keep items prioritized, and monitor response progress.
- Obtain, review, validate, and file USMCA certificates from suppliers, making sure the records are correct in both the submitted documents and the database.
- Collect and preserve detailed information on material makeup and origin for purchased items.
- Help business analysts clean data and place information into the correct tracking tools and systems.
- Stay current on changes to tariff, duty, and trade-related legislation.
- Perform analysis and prepare reports or summaries when needed or as assigned by sourcing leadership.
Requirements
- Post-secondary training in business, management, or a similar discipline, either finished or underway.
- Background in customs or compliance work is considered an advantage.
- Prior exposure to manufacturing bills of materials (BOM) is strongly preferred.
- Comfortable using MS Excel at an intermediate to advanced level, along with other Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with ERP platforms and data handling systems.
- Well-developed organizational, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative team environment.
