Role Snapshot
This position sits within the P&A Supply Chain department and is based at 480 Gordon Baker Road in North York, Ontario. It is a hybrid contract role for a two-year term and reports to the Manager, Supply Chain & Analytics.
Role Purpose
The Supply & Demand Analyst strengthens overall supply chain performance in an SAP S/4HANA environment by converting data into practical business actions. The role looks ahead to demand changes, supports product lifecycle planning, and uses IBP to guide inventory and procurement decisions so the business can maintain healthy stock levels, dependable availability, and smooth day-to-day operations. Working with multiple teams, this position supports informed decision-making, tracks performance, and helps the organization adapt quickly to business and market shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Use system data to forecast demand, support product lifecycle decisions, plan launches and phase-outs, and spot substitution opportunities.
- Translate forecast insights into inventory and purchasing plans through IBP so stock levels remain efficient and available.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners using shared data to ensure planning decisions are aligned and based on a common source of truth.
- Monitor supplier performance and quickly address delivery issues, backorders, and invoice mismatches.
- Use dashboards and embedded analytics to track KPIs, highlight risks, and support corrective action.
- Create ad hoc reports and analytical outputs using S/4HANA tools to improve visibility and support better decisions.
- Handle additional duties as required.
Experience and Education
The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline. Supply chain certifications are considered an asset. A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis is required, with exposure to procurement, inventory management, or demand planning. Experience in manufacturing, wholesale, or retail environments is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, a structured approach to solving problems, and advanced Excel capability, including formulas and pivot-based modelling. Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or SAP Analytics Cloud is important, along with working knowledge of SQL for large-data querying. Familiarity with analytics within ERP platforms such as SAP is highly valued. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills are needed to drive alignment and results. The role also calls for adaptability, a continuous-improvement mindset, and the ability to perform well in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is CAD 70,000 to CAD 75,000 per year. Final pay will depend on skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
