Datacrest Consulting is hiring a UI/UX Designer to contribute to product-focused design work in Auckland, New Zealand. The role is centered on understanding the product deeply, turning research into practical insights, and shaping user experiences that solve real business and customer needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Build a strong understanding of the technology and capabilities of the assigned product area.
  • Conduct research that reveals human behavior, business impact, and product insights.
  • Develop design outputs for your product area, including competitive analysis, user journeys, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and related artifacts.
  • Create user experience solutions that address genuine customer problems.
  • Share UX findings with the design team, cross-functional partners, and other stakeholders using clear, simple communication.
  • Present complex ideas in a way that is easy for others to understand and act on.

Requirements

  • A portfolio showing carefully considered, polished end-to-end customer journeys.
  • At least 5 years of experience in interactive design and/or visual design.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Awareness of current trends in mobile, communications, and collaboration products.
  • Ability to produce refined prototypes, mockups, and other presentation materials.
  • Capability to estimate work accurately and independently prioritize tasks and objectives.
