Architectural Draftsman

Role Overview

This position is for an Architectural Draftsman in the real estate sector, based in Mumbai. The role calls for a technically strong draftsman who can produce detailed architectural drawings for residential, commercial, and township developments, and who is comfortable contributing to large-scale project work.

What You Will Do

• Develop working drawings, municipal drawings, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and township projects.
• Support architects and design teams in preparing concept layouts and execution drawings.
• Make sure all drawings are precise, easy to interpret, and aligned with local building by-laws and other statutory requirements.
• Work closely with architects, consultants, engineers, and site teams to ensure the design is implemented as intended.
• Keep drawing files, records, and related documentation up to date.
• Assist with approval drawings required for licensing and municipal submissions.
• Prepare layout plans, GFC drawings, and as-built drawings.
• Deliver drawings within timelines so projects can move forward smoothly.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have a Diploma, ITI, or Bachelor’s qualification in Draftsmanship or a related discipline, along with 5–10 years of drafting experience across residential, commercial, and township projects. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and similar drafting tools is important, as is familiarity with DCR guidelines and municipal processes. Attention to detail, the ability to manage several assignments at once, and good coordination and communication skills are all essential.
