Role Overview

Blank Street is hiring a proactive and highly organized Associate Project Manager to support its Construction team. This person will help manage retail buildouts from the earliest planning stages through project closeout, working closely with timelines, vendors, and internal partners to keep store openings on track. The position is hands-on, based in the Brooklyn, NY office, and reports to the Head of Construction.

What You Will Do

  • Keep project trackers, action items, and weekly status updates current so stakeholders can clearly see schedule progress, scope changes, and potential risks.
  • Coordinate with architects, general contractors, consultants, and vendors to help ensure deliverables stay on schedule.
  • Monitor budgets, commitments, invoices, and change orders, while identifying variances and supporting approval documentation.
  • Track long-lead purchases such as equipment, FF&E, and finish packages, including delivery timing and installation readiness.
  • Join site visits and punch walks as needed, document outstanding items, and follow up with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to keep work moving.
  • Support permitting and municipal coordination by tracking submissions and approvals, and assisting with landlords, permit expediters, agencies, and municipalities, including attending hearings or meetings when necessary.
  • Organize and run working sessions, record decisions, and distribute clear action items with due dates.
  • Help with punchlist completion, turnover documentation, and closeout materials to support a smooth transition to Facilities and Operations.
